One 10 AM service through Labor Day. |

Sunday, August 3, 2008 10 AM |
“Breakfast on the Beach” – Sara Mackey. What can UUs glean from the Christian stories of Jesus' death and the days that followed? What does food have to do with faith? Do those questions relate to each other? Come reflect with Sara; let's make meaning together. |
Sunday, August 10, 2008 10 AM |
“Where Do We Come From? Who Are We? Where are We Going?” – Rev. Terre Balof. This chant articulates some of the important questions for us as individuals and members of a faith community. Our answers to these questions are both personal to us and unique with each congregation. |
Sunday, August 17, 2008 10 AM |
“A VocabUUlary of Faith” – Dorothy Fillmore, Katie Wheeler and Susan Wilkes. For many UU’s, language from the Judeo-Christian tradition can serve to distance them from faith. Yet, perhaps it is possible to experience those words in a fresh way and to make them our own so that they may then confer their blessing upon us. In this service, members of the congregation will share how they are reclaiming words from the traditional language of faith and understanding them in UUnique ways which further their own spiritual journeys. Join Dorothy, Katie, and Susan Wilkes as they reflect on the meaning of “divinity,” “grace,” the “holy,” and “sacred.” |
Sunday, August 24, 2008 10 AM |
“We are a Circle, Within a Circle” – Rev. Terre Balof. The stories of our lives are woven into the heritage of the faith traditions we choose for ourselves. In this service we will reflect on the threads of our lives that become part of the tapestry of our Unitarian Universalist heritage. |
| Sunday, August 31, 2008 | “Honoring the Workers of the World” – Rev. Terre Balof. In a time when the economy is stressed and our lives are stretched, let us take time to honor those whose work forms the foundation for North American culture. |
