bridge and steps on trail

As a UUCC friend you can access our congregation’s events calendar and learn about our group activities on One Church, so you can find where you best fit in. Upon becoming a Friend of UUCC, we assign you to a Neighborhood Care Group and open the opportunity for you to use our membership database to further connect.

Becoming a Friend of UUCC is a simple way to start. All you need to do is make a contribution of record (a $ donation to UUCC that is attributed to you, such as a check, credit card payment, or cash in an envelope with your name).

Membership is the next step

Membership means committing to participate regularly and making an annual financial contribution. You become a stakeholder and help determine the future of the Unitarian Universalist Community Church.  You become part of the decision-making process with your voice, vote, and service. Only members can vote or serve on the Board.

How do I decide?

Often folks know quickly that they want to become part of our congregation. Others take more time to discover if UUCC is a good fit for them. There is no “right way” or “right time” to make your decision. Attending a Newcomer Meet and Greet will help you get questions answered and get to know us better.

We also recommend participating in an affinity group, a music and arts group, or a social action project to connect with members who share your interests. You may want to get more involved and volunteer to serve on a committee.

If after attending services and/or the Meet and Greet you are interested in joining, we recommend that you attend our New Member Orientation

We ask all prospective members to attend the New Member Orientation (although not required), set up a time to meet with our minister and make a contribution of record in advance of joining.  We hold the New Member Orientation and New Member Sunday at least three times per year.

Once you’ve decided to join, please let the Membership Committee know so we can prepare to welcome you officially and celebrate together.
