To welcome children born into our congregations, we hold Children’s Dedication rituals.  These are not baptisms. They are rituals that mark the roles of parents and the congregation in raising children in a religious setting.

During the ceremony, the parents and the congregation are asked to commit to raising the children in a “liberal, religious” community.  What this means is that we are committing to assisting our children along a spiritual path to discover their own spirituality.
